ChartWorld and Raymarine enlisted us to develop an exceptional input device designed to complement their digital tools. A significant challenge was creating a product suitable for commercial vessels yet sophisticated enough for a super yacht. These two distinct sectors presented unique demands and specifications.
The CWD team diligently explored every aspect, from determining key hierarchies to perfecting ergonomics and angles. They experimented with oversized, tactile dials and a mix of hard and soft materials. Several sketch models were crafted to evaluate usability and design, helping to visualize the final product. The ultimate concept received enthusiastic feedback from both companies, and we eagerly anticipate its debut on future super yachts and commercial vessels.
